Terme di Chianciano
The Terme di Chianciano, which are more than three millennia old, are a true oasis of holistic well-being, set in the beautiful countryside between two valleys, the Val di Chiana and the Val d’Orcia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site rich in cultural traditions, excellent food and wine, and an international tourist destination.
The well-known motto ‘Chianciano, fegato sano’ (i.e. Chianciano, healthy liver), is still used today to describe the outstanding beneficial properties of its thermal waters, among which Acqua Santa, rich in calcium, magnesium, bicarbonate and sulphate, is ideal for promoting digestion, regulating intestinal function and cleansing the liver. The services offered by the Terme di Chianciano can be divided into medical and healthcare services, offered by the Centro Medico Institute for Health, and wellness and relaxation services, offered by the Piscine Termali Theia (Theia Thermal Pools) and the Terme Sensoriali SPA (Sensory Baths). Spacious green areas such as the Acqua Santa Park, with its historical rooms and the bistro, complete the offer and introduce a new concept of health and well-being.
